Recipe scaling and costing
Adjust servings and calculate ingredient costs and selling prices.
Scale a recipe. Know its cost.
Free · On your deviceEnter the quantities for the original recipe and the price and quantity of each purchased pack. The examples below are editable.
Use a three-letter currency label, such as NOK, EUR or USD. All prices must use the same currency; no exchange rates are applied.
| Ingredient | Original quantity | Unit | Pack price | Pack quantity | Scaled quantity | Scaled cost | Remove |
|---|
For each ingredient, recipe quantity and pack quantity use the same unit. Example: 250 g from a 1 kg pack → enter quantity 250, unit g, pack quantity 1000. No weight-to-volume conversions are made. Costs reflect the amount used, not the number of whole packs you must buy.
Extra cost is a fixed amount for the desired batch; it is not scaled from the original recipe. Leave it at 0 to count ingredients only.
Your recipe estimate
Suggested price is before VAT or sales tax. It includes only ingredients and the extra batch cost you entered. Labour, energy, waste, rent and other overhead are excluded unless you included them in that extra cost. No target percentage is recommended.
