Original ingredients

Use decimals or fractions: 1.5, 1,5, 1/2 or 1 1/2. A comma means a decimal, not thousands. Leave quantity blank for ingredients such as salt to taste. Units stay as entered.

Enter your recipe, then scale the ingredients.

Your recipe stays in this tab. Nothing is uploaded or saved after you close it.

Worked example

Cook for six instead of four

Input: Set original portions to 4 and desired portions to 6. Add 250 g of rice.

Result: The scaled amount is 375 g. Your original 250 g remains visible.

Meaning: Every entered quantity is multiplied by 1.5 in its original unit.

Remember: Review practical amounts such as eggs and seasoning yourself. Cooking time is not calculated.

A few useful things to know

Can I use fractions?

Yes. Enter decimals such as 1.5 or 1,5, fractions such as 1/2, or mixed fractions such as 1 1/2. A comma is always a decimal separator.

What happens to ingredients without a quantity?

Leave the quantity blank and include any instructions in the ingredient name, such as salt to taste. These ingredients are shown as written.

Does this convert units or change cooking instructions?

No. Each quantity is multiplied by desired portions divided by original portions. Units stay as entered; cooking instructions and times are not calculated.

Is my recipe saved?

No. Everything runs locally in this tab, without an account, uploads or paid services. Print the result if you want to keep it.
